How do I start using the Email Forwarding Service?

Email Forwarding Service is provided free when you purchase any Product/Service through Real Value Hosting. You need to perform the following steps in order to start using the Email Forwarding Service:

Activate the Email Forwarding Service

The first step towards using the Email Forwarding Service is to activate it. Follow the below steps to do so:

  1. Proceed to the Email Forwarding Service interface. Click here to read how >>

  2. Click Activate Mail Forwarding.
IMPORTANT

For Resellers: The Email Forwarding Service can be activated only if it belongs to a Customer directly under you.

Change the Name Servers of your domain name to our Name Servers

For the Email Forwarding Service to work, it is essential that all queries for email addresses on your domain name should reach our Email Forwarding Server, which would then further redirect mails to the destination you have specified.

Thus, it is vital that after you have activated the Service for a particular domain name, you change the Name Servers for this domain name to our Name Servers.

Follow the process outlined below to know what Name Servers you need to use:

  1. Proceed to the Email Forwarding Service interface. Click here to read how >>

  2. Here, you would find under the Nameserver Information section, the list of Name Servers you need to set for your domain name.
IMPORTANT
  • If the domain name is registered through Real Value Hosting and the Name Servers are not the same as those required to use the Email Forwarding Service, the system will display a Auto-update the nameservers for me button. Clicking this button will automatically update the Name Servers.

  • If the domain name is registered through Real Value Hosting and is using the Name Servers required to use the Email Forwarding Service, these Name Servers will be displayed for informational purpose.

  • If the domain name is not registered with Real Value Hosting, the Name Servers required to use the Email Forwarding Service will be displayed. You need to point your domain name to these Name Servers through the domain name management console provided by your domain name registration service provider.

  • If you wish to retain the Name Servers of your domain name instead of using our Name Servers, you would need to create the MX Record listed on this page on the existing Name Servers.
